A better distribution journey needs shared evidence

Connect advisers, customers and underwriting without repeated data collection.

Business context. Practical action. Shared accountability.

UNDERSTAND THE CHALLENGE

The business issue

Insurance distribution involves several participants with different responsibilities. A digital application is useful only when information can move through the journey accurately, securely and with clear status.

PUT IT INTO PRACTICE

01

Agree the handoff contract

Define the information required at each stage and which party is responsible for providing it. Distinguish a complete submission from a case ready for a decision. Avoid asking for sensitive information before its purpose and need have been established.

02

Preserve status and provenance

Track submitted documents, corrections and requests across channels. Make it clear which version is current and who supplied it. Access should reflect each participant’s authority. A shared view does not mean that every participant can see every piece of information.

03

Improve the exception journey

Provide a clear route for complex cases and explain what happens next. Measure repeated requests and avoidable referrals. AI can assist with completeness checks and approved communication, but it should not create unsupported assurances about acceptance, terms or timing.

FROM DISCUSSION TO ACTION

A sequence your team can use

Select each stage to explore the proposed action. Adapt the sequence and controls to your business context.

MEASURE WHAT MATTERS

Look for evidence of improvement

Establish a baseline and agree appropriate targets. These are proposed measures, not claims of customer results.
